Island - Carrier structure on starboard side mid-ship where all controls are located; bridge, flight control, communications, navigation.
Galley - Kitchen

Scuttlebutt - Rumor. The cask of drinking water on sailing ships was called a scuttlebutt - a butt was a wooden cask and a scuttle is used to drill holes (in this case, as for taping a cask). Since sailors exchanged gossip when they gathered at the scuttlebutt, scuttlebutt became Navy slang for gossip or rumors.
