Charles J. Beggy, Jr.

– USS Midway CV41 –
1947 - 1948 Mediterranean Cruise
2004 Midway Visit, San Diego, CA

Welcome to the website for Charlie Beggy, who proudly served on the U.S.S. Midway from 1947 to 1948.

This is one man's personal story, boarding the Navy's newest state-of-the-art aircraft carrier as a poor kid from Pittsburgh, and leaving the ship a man, ready to forge a life with new skills and a strong work ethic as only service to our country can teach. This site was created by Charlie's family, who are darn proud of their dad and grandfather. Please contact us with any comments, links to add, stories to share.

Enjoy the site - and be proud of the men and women who have helped make America the greatest country on Earth!
